Terms and Conditions: For Online Purchases
The following terms and conditions apply to all purchases of items from this website. Please read this document carefully before placing your order. We reserve the right to change these terms from time to time. Any such changes shall not affect any contract subsisting between us at the time of such change. Please check them before you make any new purchase. We advise you, our valued customer, to print and keep safe a copy of these terms and conditions for your reference.
1. Sale of Goods
1.1 By placing an order with F.E. Electronics LTD (referred to as us/we/our) you (the customer) are accepting these terms and conditions, as well as our Terms of Website Use, to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions. These conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
1.2. We will acknowledge your order by e-mail as soon as possible. Any e-mail or other acknowledgment from us does not constitute our legal acceptance of your order. Your offer is accepted and our contract begins with you, our valued customer, when the goods are dispatched or we special order a specific item for you.
1.3. We will e-mail you a copy of your receipt. Please ensure you keep this in a safe place as this will also be your guarantee on the following terms: Should any of the goods develop a fault simply return your goods within 21 calendar days of purchase (complete with original packaging and accessories – please refer to “6. Returns” for additional conditions that apply) and you will be offered the choice of either an exchange or full refund. Should a fault develop and the goods are returned to us after 21 calendar days from date of receipt, but within the guarantee period, we will provide a free of charge repair as soon as possible, depending on the delivery of the required parts. After the guarantee has expired we will still endeavour to help with any servicing your goods may require.
1.4. All items (excluding wearable parts e.g. Headphones) are guaranteed for a full 12 months for domestic use (ex demo/ex service goods are guaranteed for 3 months - excluding Television Sets). Obviously we can’t be expected to guarantee against misuse (i.e. coffee spilt inside, blown speakers, leaking batteries, etc.), commercial use, loss of data stored on any form of writeable/ rewriteable media/ hard drive devices, dead pixels of an amount not covered by the manufacturer’s specifications or normal wear and tear. Please note the guarantee will be invalidated if repairs are done other than by us or our authorised agents.
1.5. Manufacturer Warranties must be registered directly with the manufacturer, please refer to point 4. Warranties for further information.
1.6. You receive email acceptance of your order where the contract is deemed to be formed. Consumer has right to cancel seven days after, the day after receiving the goods. Any goods returned must be at the expense of the consumer.
1.7. In the event there has been an error in pricing, you will be contacted and offered the goods at the correct pricing, alternatively the order will be refused and any money paid, will be refunded.
1.8. Please be aware that we are obliged to inform TV licensing of all TV purchases as well as a number of other TV related products, including DVD Recorders and Freeview Boxes.
2. Payment and Prices
2.1. We will accept payment of your order by Visa, Mastercard, Delta/Connect and Maestro and Paypal payments (including Visa, Mastercard, Delta/Connect and Maestro only via Paypal).
2.2. Payment by cheque or cash on delivery is not accepted.
2.3. We do offer credit facilities online, simply select finance at the checkout and fill in the form. You will be contacted once your finance has been accepted or declined by the Finance Provider.
2.4 Pricing is updated regularly to avoid errors and omissions, should you process and order where there has been an error in pricing, your order will not be accepted and any monies exchanged will be refunded.
2.5. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our supplier’s prices, or the imposition of any new taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission on the price published for the goods on our website is wrong.
2.6. We try to ensure that all prices displayed on our website are accurate, but the price of the goods on your order will need to be validated by us prior to processing your order.
2.7. If there is a problem, we will inform you of the correct price and will give you the opportunity to purchase the goods at the correct price.
2.8. All prices on our website are in pounds sterling and inclusive of GST but exclusive of our very reasonable delivery charges (if applicable), which is listed as an add-on to the product where applicable with prices
3. Availability
3.1. Your order for goods is subject to availability.
3.2. If we do not supply goods to you for any reason we will inform you of the situation and will not charge you for those goods, we will obviously refund any money already paid by you for the goods.
3.3. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses, which you may suffer if we do not supply the goods.
3.4. Some promotional offers such as Cashback can be restricted by the manufacturer and their terms of that promotion. Please read the manufacturer promotional terms for all details related to a manufacturer promotion.
3.5. Promotions run in conjunction with the Euronics Group, such as, but not limited to Cashback, Discounts, Vouchers, Extended Warranties will be governed by the Euronics Group and their Terms and Conditions for that promotion. Links to their Terms for a specific promotion will be provided on the applicable products.
3.6. If you have placed a pre-order for an item, you will be advised of an estimated time of arrival prior we place the order.
4. Warranties
4.1. Typically all goods sold come with a standard 1 year manufacturer warranty.
4.2. Please ensure to register your manufacturer warranty directly with the manufacturer. For more information and all contact/web registrations please see the following link: www.fortunajersey.com/warranties
4.3. Some goods that come with an extended warranty, require further registration directly with the manufacturer.
4.4. On occasion we will sell Ex-Demonstration Goods or A-Grade Goods, which may come with a shorter warranty period. The warranty period will be listed on the goods detail page.
4.5. We may request for a copy of the serial number of your goods for record on our system which will be used for warranty purposes. Details on where to locate the serial number and how to submit this to us will be provided if you are contacted.
5. Collection
5.1. If you have selected the option to collect your goods, the follow will occur:
5.1.1. You will proceed to checkout and make payment.
5.1.2. You will receive an order acknowledgement.
5.1.3. You will be contacted, where you have the choice of collection and arrange a suitable time to collect.
5.1.4. You will receive a confirmation email for collection.
5.2. Normally, collection for same day (Monday – Friday), orders must be placed before 2pm (Excluding holidays).
5.3. Availability for collection on Saturdays can be arranged.
5.4. On collection, you must present a valid photographic ID, present your collection confirmation email and sign for the goods.
6. Delivery
6.1. We only accept orders from the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands customer but only make deliveries to Jersey Channel Islands.
6.2. We cannot make deliveries to addresses outside of Jersey Channel Islands. However some products maybe able to be shipped directly from the manufacturer to your address, your local taxes may apply and shipping costs maybe incurred. Please contact us prior to ordering.
6.3. For delivery addresses within the Jersey Channel Islands, we will endeavour to deliver the goods within reasonable time generally next day delivery for in stock items (Mon-Fri) and within 7-10 days for special order goods.
6.4. Same Day and Next Day Delivery, whilst this service is generally available all year round, we reserve the right to limit the volume of deliveries our team carry out each day. During busy periods this service may not be available, please contact us prior completing your order to confirm availability to avoid dissatisfaction. At times our website may still state that same day or next day delivery is available, whilst we endeavour to keep this updated, it may not be available.
6.5. Under normal circumstances, Special Orders for goods part of the Euronics Group may take 7-10 days for delivery, should there be any delays due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be contacted immediately and updated on estimated times of arrival.
6.6. If no times are specified, delivery shall be within a reasonable time.
6.7. We shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods unless caused by our negligence
6.8. When we deliver the goods we will require you or a nominated person to sign for them. If you are not able to sign for delivery, we will contact you and reschedule a suitable time with you. We reserve the right to charge £35.00 for re-delivery should you or your nominated person not be available at the time of delivery. Our responsibility for everything other than damage due to our negligence, will end at the time the carrier tried to deliver the goods to you.
6.9. Title in the goods will pass on delivery.
6.10. Should you return the goods pursuant to conditions set out under these terms and conditions, then title in the goods shall revert to us when you return the goods to us.
6.11. We will contact you by email or phone to arrange a mutually convenient delivery time.
6.12. We cannot change the delivery address from that placed at the time of your order.
6.13. If an order is placed online with a delivery address that differs from the card registered address we will carry out security checks to protect you from fraud.
6.14. If our supplied goods delivered are faulty or damaged by our negligence, we will replace or refund you any money paid for the goods.

7. Installation
7.1. If you require installation, you may have the option to select this at checkout, alternatively you can request this following your order confirmation email.
7.2. Standard Delivery and Standard Installation are free, please see full Free Delivery and Free Standard Installation Terms and Condition.
7.3. Full Installation, such as Television Wall Mounting, Cooker Installation, etc… are chargeable services, please request these services upon completing the purchase.
7.4. If our supplied goods installed are faulty or damaged by our negligence, we will replace or refund you any money paid for the goods.
7.5. For larger installation work our team will provide you with a quote to carry out the work prior completion.
8. Returns
8.1. Goods, other than faulty goods, may be returned within seven calendar days of the day after the date of receipt by you of the goods.
8.2. The cost of the return delivery charge under these circumstances is to be paid directly by the customer.
8.3. We would request that all goods be returned in with the original packaging and all accessories.
8.4. We will usually refund you what you paid for the goods but not the delivery charges except in cases where the order was cancelled under The Distance Selling (Jersey) Law 2007 (https://www.gov.je/Industry/RetailHospitality/Shops/pages/controlsdistanceselling.aspx) or the item was faulty.
8.5. More information on the Jersey Distance Selling act can be found on Gov.je.
8.6. When we receive the returned goods, we will inspect them to ensure all manuals, accessories and other components are within the returned package and that you have taken reasonable care of the goods.
8.7. If we receive an item that you have not taken reasonable care of, we will charge you a reasonable fee as well as a fee equivalent to the reduction in the item’s value.
9. Faulty/Damaged Items
9.1 We require you to inspect delivered items upon delivery and sign their condition as good.
9.2. Important notice: time limit for notification of claims:- If goods arrive in a damaged condition where you are unable to sign, you must inform us within 24 Hours of the date of delivery and we will either replace the goods at no charge, or refund any money paid by you for the goods.
9.2.1. If the goods returned under this condition are found not to be defective and in full working order, they will be returned to you. This does not affect your Statuary Rights.
9.3. If we are required to send an engineer to your home to inspect and repair a product, and that product is subsequently found to be in good working order, we will charge you for the costs we incur for the call-out.
10. Liability
10.1. Many of the goods we sell are of a technical nature and unfortunately it is not practical to publish detailed specifications of all the goods and keep specifications 100% up to date. All drawings, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our website are for the sole purpose of giving approximate descriptions of the goods.
10.2. However, if your goods do not conform to the specification displayed on the website relating to such goods at the date of purchase, we will arrange for collection of the goods from you and you will be entitled to receive a refund on production of the proof of purchase.
10.3. We shall not be liable to you, for any failure or delay in performance of our contract, if it is due to an event beyond our reasonable control, this includes, without limitation, acts of God, war, industrial dispute, fire, flood, tempest and national emergencies and if so delayed we shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of time for performing such obligations, this does not affect your Statutory Rights.
10.4. The contract between us shall be deemed, to have been made in Jersey Channel Islands and shall be governed by the laws of Bailiwick of Jersey.
